In April 2007, Pastor Phil Thurmond, Pastor Joseph Nieves, Pastor Bob Jackson and Captain Scott Peabody met for the first time at a luncheon for Pastors sponsored by Berkshire Christian School at Christian Assembly Church. After the luncheon the Pastors began to share their hearts for revival and their desire to get together with other Pastors that had the same vision. The following week, Pastor Phil set up a meeting at Reigning Love Church and invited 45 Pastors from Christian Churches to come together and lay down their denominational walls to see revival take place once again in Berkshire County. On thatt day, eight pastors came and Berkshire Revival Fires was birthed.

Today there are thirteen area Pastors and Churches that come from many different denominations. They meet every other Thursday afternoon to work together for the glory of God.

The Pastors believe that in order for God to move in Berkshire County, His children must first reach out to one another, and choose to break down denominational walls and doctrines that have seperated us. We must become united together in Jesus Christ, so that we can have a greater impact and positive influence in our county by simply working together.
